Introducing: Magenta
MAGENTA
Out of the entire cast, Magenta is the most mature in personality. She feels like she's different from everyone else. Having grown up with an overprotective and alcoholic family, she acts very soft and often wants to avoid trouble. She doesn't fully enjoy when others are overly attracted to her, but her kindness and well-being personality makes her likeable, and other Algoliens look up to her as a mother-type figure.
Magenta's father and sisters were very abusive to her. Her father is overprotective of his daughters to the point where he doesn't want any of them to move on, and he would go as far as to abuse them just to keep them around. His habit has infected Magenta's older sisters, Berry and Byzantine, who always used to bully Magenta around. Magenta was too afraid of escaping thinking she'd get beaten up by her sisters. When Queen Spectrum sees the trouble in Magenta's family, she invited Magenta to go to Earth with her gal pals Purple, Pink, and Lavender, to separate Magenta from her family while they are dealt with serious punishment for their acts. The last thing reported from Magenta's family was her dad, threatening something towards her for leaving the family.
This has greatly affected Magenta's mental health, and she is often soft and nervous to interact with others because of it. However, because she was the one doing all the housework for her family, it made her realize being pushed was what she needed, and it helped her grow and learn more responsibilities.
When asked if taking care of everyone gets tiring at all, this is what she had to say:
"It can get a bit tiring, but in the end I love them dearly. Lately I've been growing a best friendship status with White, who, no bias taken at all, has the most respect for me and even helps me out. BUT yes, there are people such as Navy, Maroon, Gold, Chartreuse, and Periwinkle who really get on my nerves."

You're Gonna Need a Bigger Closet
Magenta is a huge hoarder, she keeps pretty much everything she was ever given, like clothes, bags, musical birthday cards that don't even work anymore, old and dried up lipstick, and plastic dolls. At one point she finds her old bow she used to wear, which she stopped wearing around the time she turned 19. She absolutely refuses to give anything away as she can't help but need to keep almost everything she has owned for "memories". She wouldn't even put a price on an old pair of sneakers that have since worn apart, nor clothes that don't fit her anymore.
Every morning, Magenta cooks breakfast for the algoliens during their stay on Earth. She was given a special cookbook by Lime that contains Earth recipes designed to be safe for Algoliens to eat (there's certain foods they can't eat). As much as it can stress Magenta out having to cook for 29 other residents, she does it for the attention, and because she was the only one capable of cooking in her home, due to her family's negativity.
Abusive Family
Magenta's family is quite messed up, mostly the patriarch of the family. He loves his daughters but wants them around far too much to the point of not wanting them to continue a career, and it can get to the point of abuse.
Magenta's sisters eventually came of this when they turned 21. The effect of her family caused Magenta to be soft in personality. She worries if she throws an outburst she'll become like her family did (which she won't, as she inherits her loveable mother's genes).
Queen Spectrum felt sorry for Magenta and had her compete in Algicosathlon on Earth with her friends (Pink, Purple, Lavender), in hopes she can live a safer life and make new friends along the way. The effect on her family remains unknown, but the last thing heard of them was the dad exclaiming something threatening before being cut off:
"MISS FUCHSIA MAGENTA WHEN I GET MY HANDS ON YOU, I WILL LITERALLY- "
A legend says that they are either in jail, homeless, or sent to a detention center of some sort in hopes to fix them up so if Magenta ever did return to Algoworld, the family will be a lot healthier and nicer. However, she would most likely be relocated to somewhere else.

Magenta's Mother
"This is the only photo I have of her- the day I was born. Sometime when I was about 3 months old or so, she disappeared! We don't know what happened, she could've been killed, kidnapped, ran away from home... but I never really got to know her! Aside from my grandmother, maybe there could've been someone else in my family who actually cared about me. I wish I could see her again."

After adopting two previous daughters (Berry and Byzantine, which they call twins because they were coincidentally born on the same day) with her husband, Magenta Sr. wanted a biological child of her own. While she has no hate at all for her kids, Berry and Byzantine would get into a lot and I mean a lot of trouble. She wanted a child hoping to raise it to not fall down their categories.
And then it happened. Magenta was eventually born. Her mother was so happy for her, but nobody else showed up to Magenta's birth, allegedly being "too busy" or they "forgot".
Magenta was always the black sheep in the family, but her mother always loved her. However, one day when Magenta was 3 months old, she disappeared. Nobody knows what happened to her. She could have gotten killed and her body was discarded, she could have simply ran away from all the trouble, could have gone under a new identity, the family doesn't know, or claim they don't know.
Thus poor Magenta was forced to raise in her abusive household, doing all the work while continuing to wonder about her mother as she doesn't remember anything about her. Luckily, her maternal grandmother visited a lot, and was the only one who cared about her, being aware of what the family did to her.
Thankfully, Queen Spectrum freed her and sent her to Earth with some new friends who, despite still doing the work for them, appreciates them and they appreciate her back, and it helped Magenta develop new skills such as cooking and constructing.
Still to this day, Magenta doesn't like to talk about her mother as it puts her in a very upset mood as she has yet to solve the mystery of what happened to the one of the very few family members who cared about her.
