Introducing: Purple
PURPLE
Purple is the kind of gal who thinks she's right all the time. She will tend to argue until her point finally comes across.
She doesn't have many friends but there are few that have stuck with her. She shares her fashion interest with Magenta and her strengths with Pink, and Lavender also looked up to her as a person who can deal with the people she hates. Thus, they all form the girly squad.
If there's anything she hates, cool and popular boys. They solely remind her of Plum, her older brother who would constantly be the favorite child and get all the attention from their parents. She also doesn't like women who overdo their looks to look as attractive as possible, namely Hot Pink and Periwinkle.
Purple doesn't care about good looks, which is why she is one of the most basic dressed characters in the series. Although she adores her purple star necklace, which she likes to wrap around her right shoulder.

Meeting Her Friends
Purple first met Magenta in High School, Magenta was a junior while Purple was a freshman. Purple was crying because the thought of seeing Plum get so popular in front of her and her parents neglecting her really got to her. Magenta, being a nice person as she always is, comforted her and revealed her own abusive family and how she feels the same way about parental neglect and jealousy, having to sneak out just to do things and avoid her own snarky sisters. The two then exchanged in some interactions like their shared interest of fashion and grew a friendship.
Two grades later, Purple is a junior and Magenta graduates, while Pink starts out as a freshman. Purple wasn't that big of a fan of gym class and wasn't interested in going. However, one day her class was there and she met Pink who was also there with her class, and made the overall class really fun to enjoy. So after school, Pink pulled Purple aside, inviting her to the local gym she attends to encourage Purple to exercise and show Periwinkle who's boss. Purple gladly accepted.
By the time she was a senior, Lavender arrived as a freshman. Purple noticed how she would follow her around in the hallways a lot and witnessed Periwinkle harass her and make her cry. So Purple confronted Periwinkle using Pink's tactics to scare her off, and Lavender revealed why she was following her around: because Purple knows how to tell off her enemies, and she doesn't. Lavender wants to learn from Purple how to stand up for herself.
Although these four are the best of friends, there's plenty of times where Purple ends up going too far and mistreats them, some of this coming from her lack of controlling anger, but tries to mean well in the end.
Purple and Periwinkle are bitter enemies. Periwinkle was always an attractive popular girl at school, getting the attention of nerds and jocks who only like her for her looks. She loved to pick on other unpopular kids, thinking she was better than them. While Purple herself also thinks she's right and sometimes better, she has way more limits and doesn't just outright do that for no reason. One of Periwinkle's favorite victims was Lavender due to her aforementioned inability to stand up for herself. Because of the way Lavender looking up to her, Purple decided to confront Periwinkle to stay away from her.
Much to the surprise of herself, Lavender, and even Periwinkle, the latter instantly became afraid of her, although she still acts like her bratty selfish popular self in front of other. In truth, Purple is quite a tough person unlike Peri, who's much more fragile and is also relatively weak.
Just like Magenta's family, Purple's parents are not very good parents to her either.
Kingfisher is a strict dad who prohibits many activities from Purple yet seemingly allows Plum to do those exact things, either by claiming "he's the good child" or "he'll be dealt with later". He is the manager of an algolien powerplant and it's known that he is one of the toughest algoliens at work.
Eggplant, best known as Eggy mostly by her husband, is most of the time too tired to listen and make choices. She sleeps almost half of the day (even having surgery to get a blood clot removed) and barely takes care of Purple and sometimes Plum too. The best she does is make one meal for them a day.
Plum himself has absolutely no intent on ever harming Purple. He loves his sister to death and wants nothing more than to respect her, unaware that his popularity is the cause of her anger and depression.
This is mostly where Purple gets her aggressive traits from, because she has to put up with a strict dad who prohibits Purple from what Plum can allegedly do, a lazy mom who is almost too useless as a parent, face Plum who is considered the favorite child and is a popular boy at school, and not many understand her and tend to avoid her due to her anger issues.
Purple even got grounded once because Periwinkle wanted to ask Plum out, but Purple scared her off, in hopes for Periwinkle to have absolutely nothing to do with her or her family.
One of the big factors I bring up is that she has a major hatred for Red. How did that happen?
Well, Red gets a lot of his personality and confidence directly from Plum. He too wanted to be popular and was on good terms with Plum much like everyone else. Purple hates when people worship her brother and Red has seemingly done just that. Even with Red's talks to get her to understand that Plum is a nice guy, Purple doesn't change nor forgive him and can't help but call him a "Plum Jr.".
As of now, Red is the only one Purple despises for liking and acting like Plum. Nobody else has copied Plum as much as he did.
